Dwarf Bean Top Crop is suitable for eating fresh or freezing. Producing an abundance of delicious medium sized beans and picking regularly will increase productivity. The pods are ready to harvest when they snap crisply when bent. An early maturing variety that is stringless and resistant to Common Bean Mosaic virus. Dwarf Bean Top Crop grows to a height of 50-60cm.
Sow Spring and Summer, all year round in warm areas, 25mm deep in damp soil – avoid watering for a day or two afterwards. Sow 10-15cm apart, allowing 50- 60cm between rows. Ensure the danger of frosts has passed, and protect plants from wind. Water and mulch well during hot and dry weather, and spray flowers with a fine mist of water as this can help the pods to set. Seedlings emerge 7-10 days.
