This very old favourite was getting rave reviews in gardening books way back in the 17th Century! Sugarloaf's name comes from a bit of quirky historic trivia - until the late 19th Century, household sugar had to be purchased as a tall, pointy cone called a 'sugarloaf', which were so hard they needed special pliers to nip the sugar off.
Great companion plant for Beans, beets, celery, cucumber, onions, peas, potatoes, sage and rosemary.
