Peppermint is a fragrant and invigorating herb that makes a delightfully refreshing tea, or adds a cool spicy flavour to desserts, iced drinks, salads, dressings and meat dishes. Peppermint has naturally antiseptic qualities and can be used as a soothing herbal remedy to aid digestion, reduce tension and relieve cold symptoms.
Sow in pots or trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix, and transplant when 5-6cm tall. Planting in pots will contain its vigorous growth. Best grown in moist soil in semi shade. Cut back regularly to promote fresh growth. Peppermint is a perennial, but will die back over Winter in colder areas.
