Petunia Plum Carpet produces an opulent carpet of rich, sensuous plum coloured flowers, with delicate deep purple veining. A classic multiflora mounding habit makes it a winner in hanging baskets, mixed borders, or as a luxuriant ground cover. Excellent tolerance to heat and wet weather.
Press lightly (as seeds need light to germinate) into trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix. Firm down and water with a fine mist spray. Keep trays in a warm place, and retain moisture by covering with glass or plastic cling film. Transplant when seedlings are large enough to handle.
Choose a sunny, well-drained position. Prune after flower flushes to encourage compact growth, and more flowering.
