Feijoa Golden Goose produces large to extra large fruit (60 - 200grams). A white flesh feijoa with a smooth firm thick golden green skin with slightly acid golden pulp maturing sweet. The pulp increases once picked, the skin has a mild skin flavour.
Feijoa Golden Goose is an attractive evergreen tree of medium height with a rounded canopy, growing to a height and width of 4m.
Pollination is by larger birds such as Thrushes and Black Birds. These birds will travel some distance for their food and therefore pollination in the home garden is generally not an issue with one plant. Planting two different varieties will give you a longer season of delicious fruit.
Harvest - Mid to late season, May - June.
