Celery Green Crunch is a dependably crisp, crunchy salad favourite. The long stringless, bright green stalks add depth and flavour to soups and sauces, and are delicious shaved raw into salads, or as crudités with dips. For a tasty side dish, braise it with stock and a little wine.
Raise in trays of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix or sow direct into shallow rows. Keep moist and transplant after 8-10 weeks. Select a sunny position with well drained organically-rich soil.
Pick outer stems with a sideways pull, leaving young leaves to continue growing.
Companion plant with beans, leeks, tomatoes and peas.
