Squash Mix is a selection of sweet, quick cropping fruit in a variety of shapes and sizes. Tastes great when steamed, baked or stir-fried.
For early sowing, raise in pots of Yates Black Magic Seed Raising Mix in a well-lit, protected spot. Transplant after 3-4 weeks. For direct sowing press 3-4 seeds into mounds of moist soil 70cm apart. Later thin to the two strongest plants. Alternatively, sow direct into 40cm pots.
Great companion plant for Beans, corn, radish, basil and nasturtium. For a heavier crop, brush pollen from male flowers onto female flowers (with swollen base). Keep well mulched.
