Snow Pea Oregon Dwarf is a heavy cropping variety providing fleshy, light green pods with a fine sweet flavour. Pick when pods are still flat and peas are only just forming. If you have too many leave some on the plant and allow the pods to swell, they are still delicious. A half-hardy annual that grows 1-1.5m
Sow in flat trenches 15cm wide, and 5cm deep. Plant seeds into dark, damp, well-prepared soil in a zig-zag fashion along the middle of the trench, allowing 7.5cm between them. Fill trenches with soil and gently firm down. Where more than one row of peas is required, allow 90cm between rows.
Seedlings emerge 7-10 days. Water regularly after germination.
Regular harvesting will result in prolonged yields.
