Revamp your lounge without even having to get the sewing machine out! Just the small matter of choosing from the hundreds of fabrics available!

You will need:

  • 1 by 1 metre piece of fabric
  • A cushion inner
  • Pinking shears (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1:

Cut the edges of your fabric with the pinking shears so they don’t fray. Lay your pillow in the middle of the fabric but on a 45 degree angle.

Step 2:

Fold bottom corner and top corner to make a straight edge.

Step 3:

Fold them both in to the middle of the pillow to slightly overlap in the middle.

Step 4:

Fold the edges of each side in on a diagonal to make a point.

Step 5:

Bring them both together and tuck one under the other as if making a knot.

Step 6:

Repeat that to finish the knot, then tuck the ends into the loop in the front of the knot.

Helpful tip: I found a heavier cotton fabric works best for this. It needs to be stiffer to avoid getting too many wrinkles and sit just right. And just for the record, crushed velvet doesn’t sit just right, take it from my experience and use the sewing machine!
